IgniteRF® Treatment in Northridge, CA

Tighter skin. Smoother contours. One advanced RF platform.

One Platform, Multiple Ways to Contour and Tighten

Skin laxity rarely shows up in just one place, and it rarely responds to just one kind of treatment.

IgniteRF® brings several advanced radiofrequency technologies together in one platform, including FaceTite, BodyTite, QuantumRF Face, and QuantumRF Body. This allows our physician-led team at N2U Aesthetics to select the modality, treatment depth, and settings best suited to your anatomy and concerns. The result is a more precise, personalized approach to tightening, contouring, and refinement.

What Is IgniteRF®?

IgniteRF® is a radiofrequency-based device platform manufactured by InMode, built to treat soft tissue laxity and contour concerns across a range of tissue depths in a single system. It is not one treatment; it is a family of handpieces and cannulas that share a common energy source, which allows a provider to move between a smaller, precision instrument for the under-eye area and a larger one for the abdomen without switching machines entirely.

Multi-Modality Bipolar RF Technology

Every modality on the IgniteRF platform runs on bipolar radiofrequency energy, meaning the current travels between two points rather than radiating outward in every direction. That focus is part of what allows the energy to be directed at a specific tissue layer instead of broadly heating everything above and below it.

Treatment Depths From 0.5mm to 60mm

Across its broader collection of technologies, the IgniteRF platform offers treatment depths ranging from approximately 0.5 millimeters to as deep as 60 millimeters. That does not mean every patient is treated at every depth. It means the provider can choose a technology and setting suited to the thickness of the tissue, size of the treatment area, and intended result. Superficial settings may be used for skin-focused concerns, while deeper applicators can address subdermal tissue in larger facial or body areas.

Preset Energy Settings and Real-Time Tissue Monitoring

Each handpiece uses preset energy parameters designed to manage how heat disperses through the treated tissue, and the device tracks temperature and impedance continuously throughout the session. That real-time feedback is part of how the system is designed to help a provider stay within a safe treatment window rather than relying on time or feel alone.

IgniteRF Treatment Options

N2U Aesthetics offers four modalities from the IgniteRF platform, each suited to a different combination of treatment area and depth.

Invasiveness Minimally invasive (small entry point) Minimally invasive (small entry point) Minimally invasive (small entry point) Minimally invasive (small entry point)

FaceTite: Minimally Invasive Facial Contouring and Skin Tightening

FaceTite is built for the lower face, jawline, and neck, areas where skin laxity tends to show up first and where a patient often wants meaningful improvement without the recovery timeline of a surgical lift. A thin cannula is guided beneath the skin through a small entry point while an external electrode works from the surface, so the tissue is heated and contracted from both sides at once.

BodyTite: Body Contouring With Meaningfully Less Downtime Than Surgery

BodyTite applies the same underlying approach to larger body areas. It combines radiofrequency-assisted tissue contraction with a form of liposuction, so it is addressing fat volume and skin laxity in the same session rather than only one or the other. Because it is minimally invasive rather than open surgery, recovery is generally shorter than what a comparable surgical procedure would require, though it is not downtime-free.

QuantumRF Face: Precision Treatment for Delicate Areas

QuantumRF Face uses a smaller, fractionated RF cannula suited to precise work in smaller zones, areas like the under-eye region, jawline, or neck, where a provider wants deep tightening without the broader heating pattern of FaceTite. Its footprint makes it a common option for patients who want targeted refinement in one specific area.

QuantumRF Body: Contouring for Abdomen, Thighs, Hips, and Buttocks

QuantumRF Body uses a longer version of the same fractionated RF cannula to reach larger areas, the abdomen, thighs, hips, and buttocks among them, where skin laxity or mild fat deposits have not responded to diet and exercise. It is often considered for patients who want a middle path between a fully non-invasive surface treatment and a more extensive surgical procedure.

Benefits of IgniteRF at N2U Aesthetics

Natural-Looking, Gradual Results

IgniteRF is designed to stimulate the body’s own collagen production rather than replace tissue outright, which is part of why results tend to build gradually over the months following treatment instead of appearing all at once.

Meaningfully Less Downtime Than Surgical Alternatives

Because IgniteRF modalities work through small entry points rather than the incisions and tissue removal involved in surgery, most patients return to normal activities within a matter of days, with full exercise typically resuming after one to two weeks. Individual recovery timelines still depend on the treatment area and how much tissue was addressed.

Depth and Modality Matched to the Concern

Having FaceTite, BodyTite, and both QuantumRF options available in one practice means the treatment plan can be built around the specific area and depth involved rather than adapting one device to every situation.

One Consultation, Multiple Areas Considered

Patients dealing with laxity in more than one area, the jawline and the abdomen, for instance, do not necessarily need to research separate treatments and separate providers. The same platform can often address both, evaluated together during a single consultation.

Areas We Treat

Face and Jawline

FaceTite and QuantumRF Face are most often used along the jawline, under the chin, and through the lower face and neck, where a defined contour tends to matter most to patients.

Abdomen and Flanks

BodyTite and QuantumRF Body can address skin laxity and localized fat along the abdomen and flanks, frequently for patients who are close to a stable weight but have areas that have not responded to consistent diet and exercise.

Thighs and Hips

The inner and outer thighs, along with the hips, are common treatment zones for BodyTite and QuantumRF Body, particularly where skin laxity has developed gradually over time.

Buttocks

QuantumRF Body can be used to address skin laxity in the buttock area, typically as a contouring and tightening treatment rather than a volumizing one.

Arms

The upper arms are a frequent site of skin laxity that does not resolve with strength training alone, and BodyTite is commonly considered for this area.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

Initial Consultation and Modality Selection

Your visit starts with a conversation about your goals and a physical assessment of the area or areas you want addressed. Our team reviews your health history and skin quality, then talks through which IgniteRF modality, or combination of modalities, fits your anatomy and goals. This is also when we cover realistic expectations, sensation, and recovery.

The IgniteRF Procedure

On treatment day, the area is cleansed and marked, and local anesthesia is used to numb the treatment zone. A small entry point allows the cannula to be guided beneath the skin, working in coordination with an external electrode as the device delivers radiofrequency energy in controlled passes. Session length depends heavily on the modality and the size of the area, ranging from under an hour for a smaller facial zone to longer for larger body areas.

Recovery and Aftercare

Swelling, bruising, and tenderness in the treated area are common in the days that follow and generally ease within one to two weeks. A compression garment is often recommended, particularly for body treatments, to support the area as it heals. Our team provides specific aftercare guidance, including when to resume exercise, based on your treatment area and modality.

When You'll See Results

Some tightening is often visible soon after treatment as the tissue responds to the heat, but the fuller result develops over the following months as the body produces new collagen. Many patients continue to see gradual improvement for several months after their session, and how long that improvement holds depends on factors like skin quality, aging, and weight stability.

Why Choose N2U Aesthetics for IgniteRF in Northridge

Experienced, Trusted Providers

Dr. Masoud M. Azizad, MD, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, has led N2U Aesthetics since the practice opened in Northridge in 2007, bringing nearly two decades of aesthetic medicine experience to the team’s approach. A Full IgniteRF Platform, Not Just One Handpiece

Some practices carry a single InMode device and fit every patient to it. N2U Aesthetics offers FaceTite, BodyTite, QuantumRF Face, and QuantumRF Body, so the modality is chosen to match your anatomy rather than the other way around.

Personalized Treatment Plans

Skin laxity, fat distribution, and goals differ from one patient to the next, which is why an IgniteRF plan at N2U Aesthetics is built from what our team sees during your consultation rather than a standard package.

Comfortable, Clinical Setting

Every IgniteRF appointment takes place in our Northridge office, where the focus is on a visit that feels unhurried and private from consultation through aftercare.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Many Treatments Are Needed for Optimal Results?

Most IgniteRF modalities, FaceTite, BodyTite, QuantumRF Face, and QuantumRF Body, are typically performed as a single session per treatment area. Some patients choose to address additional areas in a separate visit, or return for a touch-up if their goals change over time. Your provider can recommend a specific plan based on your anatomy and goals.
Swelling, bruising, tenderness, and temporary numbness in the treated area are the most commonly reported effects, and these generally ease within one to two weeks. Less commonly, patients may notice skin discoloration, irregularities in contour, or changes in sensation that take longer to resolve. IgniteRF is not appropriate for everyone, including patients who are pregnant, have certain implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers, have an active infection in the treatment area, or have a bleeding disorder. Our team reviews your health history during consultation to help determine whether IgniteRF is an appropriate option for you.
IgniteRF is designed to produce long-term improvement rather than a permanent change, since factors like aging, sun exposure, and weight fluctuation continue to affect the skin after treatment. Many patients find their results hold up well for an extended period, particularly when weight stays stable, though individual results vary and are not guaranteed.
FaceTite and BodyTite both pair a cannula with an external electrode and are generally used for facial or body areas that need more substantial contraction, with FaceTite sized for smaller, delicate zones and BodyTite built for larger body areas. QuantumRF Face and QuantumRF Body use a single fractionated RF cannula without an external electrode, which some providers reach for when precision at a specific depth matters more than treating a broad surface area. The comparison table earlier on this page breaks down the differences by treatment area and approach.
Local anesthesia is used before treatment, so most patients describe the sensation during the procedure as pressure, warmth, or mild pulling rather than significant pain. Some soreness in the days afterward is common as the area heals. Comfort varies by individual and by treatment area, and our team will talk through what to expect before starting.
IgniteRF tends to be considered for patients who are at or near a stable weight, are in generally good health, and have mild to moderate skin laxity or localized fat that has not responded to diet and exercise. It is not a substitute for weight loss, and it may not be the right fit for patients with significant excess skin or more advanced laxity. Candidacy depends on your anatomy, health history, and goals, all of which are reviewed during a consultation.
